Caring for Pak Choi Plants

🍀Grow your own pak choi with our Balcony Buckets!🍀

Pak choi is hardy, thrives in cooler conditions, and can grow in 3 out of 4 seasons of the year. It requires protection from extreme cold and extreme heat, so finding a shaded spot like under a tree during the summer months and moving indoors to a well-lit area or greenhouse in the winter are highly recommended approaches. You could also contact us to have us overwinter your Pak Choi plant and return it to you in the spring.

A crowded Pak Choi bucket looks like a lavish green and white bouquet but may attract pests and have your plants competing for sunlight and nutrients. To minimize the amount of care Pak Choi would need, consider thinning baby plants till they're 10cm apart and adult plants till they are 1 foot apart.

Give your Pak choi a little water every week; if it's an especially arid week, water them a few times.

Once leaves are lush and glossy and stalks are thick and plump, your pak choi is ready to harvest.
