Terms and Conditions for the Organic Composting Program

Welcome to our Composting Program. By applying to join and participating in our program, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility and Participation

1.1 Application and Approval

Organizations interested in participating must submit an application. Approval is based on:

  • The type and expected volume of organic materials.
  • The location of the business or organization.

1.2 Responsibilities of Participants

Approved participants (“Organic Composters”) agree to:

  • Maintain a suitable receptacle for organic waste collection.
  • Store organics safely for pickup
  • Indicate via the dashboard when organics are available for pickup
  • Submit only acceptable organic materials in line with our accepted waste types.

1.3 Prohibited Submissions

Organic Composters must not include:

  • Toxic or hazardous materials
  • Non-organic or non-compostable waste
  • Environmentally harmful substances

Submissions found to be in violation may result in point penalties or immediate revocation of program status.

2. Program Terms and Rewards

2.1 Points System

Participants earn points based on the quantity and quality of collected organic materials. Points are calculated per kilogram according to our Collection Tables (see program materials or website).

2.2 Rewards

Rewards can be redeemed when specific point thresholds are reached. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Loose Leaf Tea
  • Premium Coffee
  • Gift Cards
  • Cash
  • Coffee in bulk

Points required for each reward are listed in our current rewards chart. Rewards are subject to availability.

2.3 Changes to Program Terms

  • Rewards, point values, and eligible items may change without prior notice.
  • Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be communicated at least 3 days prior to taking effect.

2.4 Program Revocation

We reserve the right to revoke Organic Composter status at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Non-compliance with material guidelines
  • Unsafe or hazardous submissions
  • Abuse of the rewards system

2.5 Point Deductions

We reserve the right to deduct point from composters for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Non-compliance with material guidelines
  • Unsafe or hazardous submissions
  • Abuse of the rewards system
  • Missed pickup/ wasted trip

3. Data Collection and Use

3.1 Collected Information

We collect the following from participating organizations:

  • Organization name
  • Contact email and phone number
  • Physical address
  • Website URL
  • Organization logo

3.2 Use of Data

This information is used solely for:

  • Communicating about pickups and program updates
  • Displaying the logo and website URL on our Partner Page to highlight participating organizations

We do not sell or share this information with third parties outside of these program-specific uses.

4. Permissions and Consent

By submitting an application to our composting program, you grant us permission to:

  • Collect, store, and use your organizational data as described in Section 3.
  • Display your organization’s name, logo, and website on our public Partner Page.
  • Contact you regarding pickups, program updates, and changes to rewards or terms.

5. Disclaimer

Participation in this program does not constitute a legal partnership, endorsement, or joint venture. Rewards have no cash value unless explicitly stated and are non-transferable.
